Hi, I’m Yasmine Story.

A birth and postpartum doula in Kannapolis, serving the greater Charlotte area, and a mama myself to two beautiful girls

My path to doula work started in a very real, very unscripted way — supporting my best friend through her first birth. Twenty-five hours. Unmedicated. Lots of deep breaths. Lots of “yes you can.” Being present for that birth completely changed how I saw pregnancy and labor. I witnessed strength, surrender, faith, and resilience all woven together — and I fell in love with the birth space.

From there, I couldn’t stop learning. I dove into certification programs, evidence-based education, and hands-on experience because I knew this was work I was meant to do.

As a Christian doula, I believe birth is sacred. I believe your body was designed with wisdom, and I believe peace is possible — even when birth doesn’t go exactly as planned.

I bring a calm, laid-back presence into the room. I’m the person reminding you to breathe, cracking a gentle joke when things feel heavy, praying with you, and grounding you when anxiety starts to creep in. Whether this is your first baby or a redemptive birth after a tough experience, you don’t have to carry it alone.

You don’t need to be fearless.
You don’t need to have a “perfect” birth plan.
You just need support you can trust.

If you’re looking for a doula who feels more like a steady friend than a stranger, I’d be honored to support you as you welcome your baby.
